A BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Quba Masjid & Education Centre is an Islamic organisation that focuses on educational, religious, and social activities.


It was established in 2006 and registered with the UK government in 2008. Its headquarter is located in London, United Kingdom.


Quba Masjid and Education Centre is known for its well-used prayer facilities for both men and women, with an average of over 1200 people attending Friday prayers (Jumu’ah) and as many as 2500 during peak times.


The centre attracts a weekly foot traffic of 6000 people, which increases to over double that number during the month of Ramadan.

OUR LOCATION
Quba Masjid and Education Centre is a few minutes’ walk from Hayes Town Centre in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Our address is Unit C, Golden Crescent, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1AQ.
OUR HISTORY
Since the establishment of QMEC, the community has come together to pool our shared resources. A distinct benefit of this is the bringing together of Muslim professionals of various backgrounds who have been able to help steer the centre forward.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Regular programmes include Tafsir (explanation) of the Qur‘an in Somali. Quba Centre also runs a Friday sisters circle which is open to all women with a diverse range of speakers and topics

OUR SERVICES

QUBA YOUTH
It is important now that youth matters are handled professionally through the creation of a youth workers who is well trained in dealing with youths. The youth worker has special roles in ensuring that the Youth Agenda developed is duly implemented in Quba mosque.
QUBA ACADEMY
Our staff are highly trained and friendly and have years of experience in working in teaching. All of our staff are trained in Safeguarding of children and are fully DBS checked.
EDUCATION & TRAINING

HOMEWORK CLUB
Quba Masjid offers free advice, information and support to people living in Hillingdon and neighbouring boroughs. Such us Welfare Benefits, Housing, Filling Forms and translating, etc Walk-in no appointment needed – Every Monday between 10am to 2pm
MARRIAGE SOLEMNISATION
Quba facilitates the solemnisation of an Islamic contract of marriage. In the future we aim to provide newly married couples at our centre with an official ‘Nikah’ certificate to prove that they have been married in accordance with Islamic Law.
ADVICE & COUNSELLING
Quba centre is here to offer help and advice in all matters of day-to-day life. We have a dedicated person to offer counselling and advice for issues such as bereavement, cultural challenges, generational issues and matrimonial problems.
